“No Doubt” – Ex-Chelsea Star Says Cole Palmer Must Leave to Win Ballon d’Or

“No Doubt” – Ex-Chelsea Star Says Cole Palmer Must Leave to Win Ballon d’Or.

Chelsea fans won’t like this! Former Blues player Gus Poyet has said that Cole Palmer must leave Chelsea if he really wants to win the biggest prize in football – the Ballon d’Or.

Cole Palmer had a great season last year. He was man of the match in both the Conference League final and the Bes final, where his goals helped Chelsea lift trophies. He also finished 8th place in this year’s Ballon d’Or, which was won by Ousmane Dembélé, while Lamine Yamal came second.

But things are not going smoothly for him this season. Palmer has been struggling with a groin injury since the Club World Cup. He has already missed Chelsea’s last two matches against Brighton and Benfica, and he will also miss the big game against Liverpool this weekend.

Even though Chelsea signed five new attackers, the team still depends on Palmer to create chances. The Problem? Chelsea hasn’t won a single game with him on the pitch this season.

That’s why Gus Poyet believes Palmer must move to another big club if he wants to reach the very top:

“100%, no doubt,” Poyet said.

“Look at Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid – he reached another level. That kind of stage helps players win the Ballon d’Or.”

Poyet even claimed that Lamine Yamal wouldn’t win the Ballon d’Or if he played in England, suggesting that the Premier League makes it harder to shine compared to Spain.
