Arsenal missed a golden chance! Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was proud of his players afte a tough week but left Stamford Bridge disappointed as Arsenal could only draw with 10-man Chelsea.
Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo was sent off in the 38th minute for a bad tackle on Mikel Merino, leaving the Blues with 10 players for over 50 minutes. Most fans thought Arsenal would easily win—but it didn’t happen.
Chelsea even scored first! Trevoh Chalobah gave Chelsea the lead early in the second half, but Arsenal fought back and Merino scored to make it 1-1.
Arteta said, “It’s been a huge week—first the North London derby, then Bayern Munich. We lost some players, but the team had to react. I’m proud of their effort, but today we should have won.”
He added, “Playing with new partnerships in defence, missing our captain Odegaard, No9 Gyokeres, and Kai Havertz, it was a really tricky match. But the spirit of the team is intact. We need to build that connection.”
